2 Years

In January 2012 we took a leap of faith to start Local Politechs Strategies. After 2 years it’s proven to be a great adventure.

In just 24 months our team has grown and we have had the honor of helping a variety of clients launch and win major campaigns. Last year we added Pat Jakopchek to our team as a Project Manager. Prior to working with LPS, Jakopchek worked in the United States House of Representatives as the Chief Speechwriter and Press Deputy for Congresswoman Judy Chu of California. Before that, he was an analyst at The Feldman Group, a Democratic polling firm in Washington, DC. Upon joining LPS, Pat served as the account manager for the Virginia Advanced Energy Industries PAC during the 2013 election. He also works on a number of our state level candidate accounts. Pat has been an invaluable addition to our team and will play a larger management role in the coming year.

After signing on to be part of the consulting team last summer, LPS launched the redesign of DougGansler.com for Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler’s bid for Governor of Maryland in October. We’re also excited to provide strategic advice and services to a number of state level campaigns including MD Delegate Keiffer Mitchell’s reelection campaign, the David Sloan for Delegate campaign in Prince George’s County, MD, and the Bill Romani for Delegate in Baltimore, MD.

As the 2014 election cycle kicks into high gear we are now looking for Spring Semester Fellows to support our campaign work. We are looking for motivated graduate students or recent college graduates to help support our work throughout the primary election cycle. It’s been a busy and exciting 2 years and we expect this year to be even busier. As always, thank you for your referrals and support of LPS!
